Required Gear

The only thing you need to get the XLR Top Mount installed is a Philips J0 and Philips #1 screw drivers.

Optional Gear

Cold Shoe Mounts. Adding a metal cold shoe mount to your XLR Top Mount will allow you to quickly add gear without the fear of damaging your top mount over time. Here are a few options we like:

  • Cold Shoe Mount - Nothing fancy just a good old cold shoe mount with a screw!
  • Cold Shoe Offset Mount - This is a great option for larger receivers that need a little more room on the top of the XLR Mount.
  • Cold Shoe Dual Screw Mount - This is Caleb Pike's favorite, but it only seems to come with Nitze Handles like this one. Not a bad thing because their handles rock!
